Review: Fun and hilarious, Paisley Hanover Kisses and Tells is sure to be a great summer read!

This book is a follow up to Paisley Hanover Acts Out. I'd never read the first one, but it was still simple enough to fall into the story. It starts off as Paisley awaits the election results for sophomore class president, which she's sure she's won. Or, rather, her alter-ego Miss UnPleasant won. Cue the drama.

The characters are definitely full of their own personalities, from quirky Paisley; sweet and popular Jen; hair-impaired, attitude-filled Carreyn and many more.

Filled with a very complex love triangle with two very sweet boys, best friend's who just may not be your best  friend, a scandalous photo that could ruin a reputation, and a revolution of UnPop's that Paisley just might have ignited, Paisley Hanover Kisses and Tells is fun from start to finish, and a novel that will keep you curious as to what ridiculous thing could possibly happen next.

Highlights: Tuttle's writing is easy enough to follow, and she throws in plenty of hilarious moments. There are some slightly more deep points of the story, which was nice to see instead of pure fluff.

Lowlights: A bit over the top, and a few confusing points. I didn't really like the slang, it felt overused and fake at times (but maybe that's because I never talked like that at Paisley's age...so...). One of the characters seemed a bit unreal to me, and I had a hard time getting past that whenever they'd pop up in the book. But overall, this book is a fun read that's guaranteed to give a few laughs.

  1. Great review! I loved the first Paisley Hanover because it was so funny and from your review the sequel sounds like it'll be just as great.

  3. Hi,

I'm here through The Saturday Network @ Books at Midnight - but I already knew your blog, as I've subscribed to your updates for a while.

Hadn't heard of this book before. I doesn't really sound like my cup of tea, but the heroine's name made me smile. Some YA authors really do have a knack for coming up with interesting names for their characters :)
