Waiting on Wednesday (Times Two!)

Hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine

Fury by Elizabeth Miles
Release: August 8, 2011
Summary:
Sometimes sorry isn't enough....

It’s winter break in Ascension, Maine. The snow is falling and everything looks pristine and peaceful. But not all is as it seems...

Between cozy traditions and parties with her friends, Emily loves the holidays. And this year’s even better--the guy she’s been into for months is finally noticing her. But Em knows if she starts things with him, there’s no turning back. Because his girlfriend is Em’s best friend.

On the other side of town, Chase is having problems of his own. The stress of his home life is starting to take its toll, and his social life is unraveling. But that’s nothing compared to what’s really haunting him. Chase has done something cruel...something the perfect guy he pretends to be would never do. And it’s only a matter of time before he’s exposed.

In Ascension, mistakes can be deadly. And three girls—three beautiful, mysterious girls—are here to choose who will pay.

Em and Chase have been chosen.
Do I really need to say anything? This book just sounds amazing.

Twisted by Sara Shepard
Release: July 5th, 2011
Summary:
It’s been a year since the torturous notes from A stopped and the mystery of Alison DiLaurentis’s disappearance was finally put to rest. Now seniors in high school, Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily are older, but they’re not any wiser. The pretty little liars have more secrets than ever—twisted secrets that could destroy the perfect lives they’ve worked so hard to rebuild.

Aria’s jealous of her boyfriend’s new exchange student. Spencer’s getting a little too cozy with her soon-to-be-stepbrother. Hanna’s one scandalous photo away from ruining her dad’s Senate campaign. And Emily will do anything to get a swim scholarship.

Worst of all: Last spring break in Jamaica, they did something unforgivable. The girls are desperate to forget that fateful night, but they should know better than anyone that all secrets wash ashore . . . eventually.
Honestly, I was pretty upset when I found out Shepard was writing another PLL book. I liked where the last one left off, and I wanted the series to be over. But, even I can't pretend I'm not interested in Twisted. I'm curious to see what the hell these girls could have possibly done to get themselves in trouble (again), so I'll be anticipating the release :)

What are you waiting on this week?

Pretty Little Liars: Happy Earth Day

Last year, I participated in a game hosted by ABC Family for the TV series Pretty Little Liars (my full recap of the experience can be found here). In OctoberNovember, December, JanuaryFebruary, and March, the ever-so devious "A" sent some surprising gifts with teasers for the show.

I got something from "A" once again, and she made sure I'd have to dig for the truth....

Click here or watch in the embedded video below to get the dirt for Season 2 from Pretty Little Liars Executive Producer Marlene King!

I cannot wait for season 2 - I need my PLL fix! I've had nothing interesting to watch since the finale...thankfully, the premiere of Season 2 (and the release of Season 1's DVD) is only a few months away :)

What do you think "A" will do this next season? It sounds like she'll be stirring up trouble...but that's why we love her ;)

Pretty Little Liars: Happy St. Patrick's Day

Last year, I was part of a game hosted by ABC Family for the TV series Pretty Little Liars (my final recap of the experience here). In OctoberNovember, December, January, and February, the ever-so mysterious A sent some surprising gifts.

Just today, I got something very lucky from "A", who seems to think I'll need it....

A completely cute clover plant! And as usual, it came with a link. The link led to this very intriguing photo from the season finale next week!

Any guesses as to what's going to happen on the episode? It's looking like it's going to be crazy!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!! =)

Pretty Little Liars: Happy New Year?

Early on this past summer, I was part of a game hosted by ABC Family for the new TV series, Pretty Little Liars (my final recap of the experience here). In OctoberNovember, and December, I found some sweet surprises in the mail from "A"!

Today I received another package from the mysterious "A". It contained:
  • Three beautiful calla lilies (surrounded by some black confetti...a bit creepy, right?)
  • eerie sweet note saying "Hey Liars. Happy New Year? I don't think so. -A
  • Some puzzle pieces (along with a bunch of black and red A's, of course).

"A" included puzzles pieces that were double-sided, so when I put them together I came up with these photos from the show:
Ashley Marin (Hanna's mom) and Spencer Hastings.
Gotta love "A", she sure knows how to make people nervous ;)

Don't forget to tune in when Pretty Little Liars premieres with all new episodes on January 3rd!

Pretty Little Liars: Naughty or Nice?

Early on this past summer, I was part of a game hosted by ABC Family for the new TV series, Pretty Little Liars (my recap here). Since then, it seems "A" hasn't quite gotten done stalking us keeping an eye on us, and she's been sending us little liars some goodies recently!

In October and November, I found some sweet surprises in the mail! And today, A sent something very cool:

A digital picture frame with some pics from the upcoming season:

As usual, A also made sure to include a picture with a website for some PLL extras. Click here to see the other slideshow A has up over at ABC Family.

Eeek! I can't believe the premiere is so close (January 3rd!)!!

Happy Holidays!

Pretty Little Liars: Happy Thanksgiving, Liars

I was surprised to find yet another treat from "A" this week, and it's definitely just as sweet as the last

Surprise Package!! =)
I flipped over the postcard to see a very mysterious note from A....

And lifted the packaging off to find...

An Apple Pie!! With A's all over it!
But I didn't stop there, because obviously, there was still a secret to find out. So I held up the postcard to the light (rubbing the black strip works too, but it was too difficult to get a picture quick enough!) and discovered that underneath the black strip was a website:

The link led me straight to a sneak peek for the next season!! Watch the video below or click here to see it for yourself! =)

I so cannot wait for January 3rd!!

Happy Thanksgiving to those of you who celebrate it!

Pretty Little Liars: A Treat (or Trick) from "A"

Early on this past summer, I was contacted by ABC Family to see if I'd be interested in playing a game revolving around their newest TV show, Pretty Little Liars (based upon the novels by Sara Shepard!). Last time I got a package from them, it was very surprising to see what was inside! The experience was completely amazing (my full recap here), and I cannot wait for the TV Series to start up again on January 3rd, 2011!

So when I received an email a couple weeks ago from the mysterious "A" saying she had a treat for me, I was curious.

The package came on Wednesday, and this what was inside:

Such an awesome package! The orange M & M's say "Trick" "Or Treat" and "A". I shined the flashlight underneath the paper, and it revealed a website (but I'll have to check back at 3PM EST on Friday to get more info).

I'm completely curious what the site will say, I have a feeling A has a trick up her sleeve... She does like to mess with people! I'll share more once I know!

UPDATE: The website led to this sneak peak for the new season! Click the link to watch it or view it below!
