Ki Hong Lee from The Nine Lives of Chloe King

The lovely people at ABC Family noticed the understandable (and yet very amusing) mispronunciation of my blog name in Alyssa Diaz's otherwise fantastic video response, and they graciously offered to send a question of mine to Ki Hong Lee - the actor who plays Paul on The Nine Lives of Chloe King. I love his character, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity!

Sneak Peek of The Lying Game

I received a surprise package from ABC Family recently, and inside I found a copy of Sara Shepard's The Lying Game! But this copy is a bit different than your average bookstore copy... 
Throughout many of the chapter titles, certain letters were underlined in red pen. I went through, wrote down all the underlined letters (I wish all books had fun little hints like this!), and ended up with six words: 

I searched for the words "Secret Sneak Peek" (plus "Lying Game" to make it a quicker search), and it led me to a video clip of the upcoming TV series version of The Lying Game. Watch and enjoy! 

Anyone else excited for this show? I can't wait to see how The Lying Game compares to the book...but seeing how well ABC Family is doing with Pretty Little Liars, I don't think I need to worry at all - it is bound to be awesome! ;)

I decoded the symbols using the Book of Mai (YELTIHW), and then went to Rezza's website armed with my newly discovered password:

Next, I found a list of emails in a lot of different languages. To save some time, I copy/pasted the list into Google Translate. I set the languages from Russian to English (since the Mai told me it would be Ukrainian or Russian - both worked for her email) and found Chloe's email near the bottom. 

The number next to her email also matched a number stamped on the bottom of her birth certificate! :)

I sent an email to warn Chloe to "TRUST NO ONE", and received an auto-reply back saying:

"Hey there! I'm not checking emails at the moment! Between school, birthday and my crazy life I'm a bit busy! Promise I will check in soon and get back to you!"

So much for warning her ;)

The Mystery Object

My mystery object was this adorable little baby shoe below:

The significance of it is the mystery surrounding Chloe's birth parents and her Ukrainian roots. A scene at the very end, Chloe's mother pulls out a box filled with information about Chloe's Ukrainian past (birth certificate, forms, little baby booties, and I think even a matryoshka doll). It's even more significant because Chloe's mother claimed to not know much about Chloe's roots, and it seems like she's been holding out this info...

The Mai sent a package containing a pen, and a business card bearing the name "Whitley Rezza" of Rezza Capital. The business card had an interestingly cut edge - exactly like the one the envelope my game box has. Putting them together, I received a one-word message:

HUNTER in turn was the password to open the Media Folder in my MaiPad, and inside this folder was a video showing Chloe's foes:

Only two more paths left -- what else will be revealed? And is anyone else as excited as I am for the premiere on Tuesday? :)

A package from the Mai came through the mail...and inside I found:

A T-Shirt with a "Danger" symbol on the front, and a card giving me my instructions for the Sixth Path. So, I set off and examined the shirt, finding two very important clues:

A phone number on the inside of the shirt at the bottom, and an extension number on the inside of the collar of the shirt (I can't believe it took me forever to find the phone number - totally my fault for not looking thoroughly!). I called and listened to message below:

“We believe the Uniter is here in San Francisco. If this girl is in fact the Uniter, remember, she has nine lives. You must eliminate the threat. 

One word of caution. It has come to our attention that a group called the Circle is helping the Mai. Do not allow them to get in your way. I repeat, do not allow the Circle to get in your way. Eliminate the threat.” 

After relaying the info to the Mai, they let me know that they have kindly made extras of these shirts for some of you readers to claim (US people only!)...But first, you'll need a password.
