Waiting on Wednesday (times two)

WOW is hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine

The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter
Release: April 19th, 2011
It's always been just Kate and her mom--and now her mother is dying. Her last wish? To move back to her childhood home. So Kate's going to start at a new school with no friends, no other family and the fear her mother won't live past the fall.

Then she meets Henry. Dark. Tortured. And mesmerizing. He claims to be Hades, god of the Underworld--and if she accepts his bargain, he'll keep her mother alive while Kate tries to pass seven tests.

Kate is sure he's crazy--until she sees him bring a girl back from the dead. Now saving her mother seems crazily possible. If she succeeds, she'll become Henry's future bride, and a goddess.

If she fails...

Can we just fast-forward to April? Anyone got a time machine? ;)

And the other book I'm waiting on (but doesn't have a summary):

Undercurrent by Tricia Rayburn - due out in July.

What are you waiting on?

PS: Sorry for the lack of posts this week - I've got Midterms (and I'm sick...gotta love the timing) from today until next Tuesday, but the blog should hopefully get a couple posts going before then!

  1. Ooh, The Goddess Test sounds amazing!

  2. Can't wait to read The Goddess Test - it sounds great and the cover is gorgeous!

I love the new covers for the Siren series too!

My WoW is up on my blog! :)

  3. Goddess Test definitely sounds good. I really like the cover as well. Good luck with your midterms!

  4. I haven't heard of Undercurrent but can't wait to get a summary for it.

  5. The Goddess Test looks incredible! What a fun take on a myth.

  6. Both look great! I really enjoyed Siren and The Goddess Test looks like a fun mythological twist. Yeah a time machine would be nice. Hope you're feeling better and good luck with the midterms!

  7. Love these covers! I totally want to get the paperback version of Siren. Don't really care for the hardback cover. I've been putting off reading it just to have the paperback cover. Undercurrent is ethereal, as well. I feel like I'm actually standing there. Can't wait to read The Goddess Test!

  8. Amazing picks this week! These are both on my TBR list! Thanks! : )

    My Waiting on Wednesday is:

  9. Goddess Test sounds wonderful, my TBR list just keeps getting longer, and longer with the WoW posts.

  10. It looks like The Goddess Test is on everyone's minds right now... I've been seeing it featured in so many WoW posts today! lol, it was mine last week! :)

  11. I just love the cover for Undercurrent! Also, I totally just got The Goddess Test on netgalley! Thank the Lord! :D

  12. Great picks and good luck on midterms!

    I'm your newest follower. :)

  13. Oooh, both of these look spectacular!

  14. Wow, two awesome sounding books! The Goddess Test I haven't heard much about, but it sounds really good. I love books that use Greek mythology. And you have me intrigued with Undercurrent. I want to know what it's about! Anyway, nice picks this week.

  15. Both of these books look amazing.

I know how you feel about fast-forwarding. Sometimes there are a few books, or a season of books, that I truly look forward to.

  16. Hey, hey....I'm giving away the arc of DIVERGENT I won on Veronica's blog if you're still interested! The book is awesome!
