Blog Tour + Giveaway: Deception by Lee Nichols

Today's my stop for the Deception Blog Tour, and I've got Lee Nichols here to answer some questions about DECEPTION (which was totally awesome!!). Click here for my review!

Where did the inspiration to write DECEPTION come from?
I wanted to write a contemporary Gothic novel with a kick-butt herione and this is what I came up with.

What is your protagonist Emma like, and what makes her unique?
She's strong, has the amazing ability to see and control ghosts, and she's loyal and funny.

If there was one book you wish you'd written, what book would it be?
It's not just one, it's all the books I haven't written yet. I have ideas all the time and wish I could make them all happen.

You figure out that you can talk to ghosts...what's your initial reaction?
I think I'd try to find my grandmother who I was really close to. I'd love for her to meet my son. Well, that's after the total freak-out, of course.

Anything else you'd like to add?
Fun questions. Thanks for having me!

And now for the giveaway! I have two ARCs of DECEPTION (thanks to Bloomsbury!) to give away.

  1. After seeing this book around so much, I seriously need to read it. It sounds like such a great story. I love the sound of a character talking to ghosts.

  2. Nevermind my comment on Facebook, I now can leave a comment.. =)

I am all about this giveaway! I have signed up for 5 other giveaways for this book and haven't won one..

Great interview.. =) I have to agree with author, if I found out I could talk to ghosts I would talk to my grandmother.. I found out I was pregnant right before my grandmother died and I know that she would have loved to meet my second son. I named him after her husband (my grandfather) and I know she would have loved that.
Either my grandmother or I would want to talk to my 2 friends who were only 20 and 21 at the time of their deaths, and passed away a month apart from each other. it has been 2 years today since my one friend passed away and July 1st will be 2 years for the other one.. I miss them and would love to be able to tell them goodbye. (Sorry, today is kind of a depressing day since it is 2 years ago today that my one friend died..) sorry for the long post. =)
