The Queen's Library (45): December & January Books

Purchased & Gifted

I'm only buying books for my thesis right now, so I purchased these two:

CHAUCER'S SEXUAL POETICS
SOCIAL CHAUCER

Thesis research! It's bound to be intriguing.

But, I was gifted some pretty fabulous YA books:

WINGER (I can finally finish it!)
SERAPHINA (heard great things about it)
THE TRUTH ABOUT FOREVER (autographed & personalized!!)
ALONG FOR THE RIDE (autographed & personalized!)
BLUE LILY, LILY BLUE (autographed & personalized!!!)
THE BONE SEASON (so I bought this one, BUT it was only $3.99 on B&N).

My folks are officially the best for surprising me with such awesome belated Christmas presents! I still cannot believe I now own autographed & personalized books by Sarah Dessen & Maggie Stiefvater! *hugs all the books*

For Review

FROM THE NOTEBOOKS OF A MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCESS

Huge thanks to Macmillan / Netgalley, and HarperTeen! I (and apparently, Loki) cannot wait to read and review these!

    1. I kind of freaked out, a lot, over the SD books. I missed my one chance to go meet her at a signing a few years back, so this was a lovely surprise from my folks!

Geek Girl looks like it could be fun! Let's hope it's good!

  2. I really liked Seraphina and I just got an ARC of the sequel but I can't remember Seraphina as well as I'd like so I may have to reread it.

Looks like you got some fantastic books. So nice of your family to surprise you like that! I hope you enjoy the books :)
