BEETLEJUICE: I vaguely remember this one being fun / eerie. Definitely need to rewatch it!
CASPER: I love Casper, he's just adorable. It's been years since I've seen this.
HALLOWEENTOWN: Loved this as a kid! So fun and creative.
MEAN GIRLS: OKAY, it's not really a Halloween movie, but there is a scene set during Halloween so it counts. Plus, this movie is never stops being amusing, and sometimes, you just need a fun movie in between the scary ones.
HOCUS POCUS: BEST HALLOWEEN MOVIE EVER. "I put a spell on you...and now you're mine!"
SLEEPY HOLLOW: Eerie, people's heads get chopped off, magic, Johnny Depp...it's perfect for Halloween.
SCREAM: I mean, obviously.
URBAN LEGEND: So, this is not a great movie, but I thought it was an interesting horror movie revolving around urban legends.
THE CONJURING: Very eerie and well done. The clapping game always gives me chills.

Edited 7:27AM, because I didn't want to leave out Practical Magic!
I love this list! I completely agree with you about Hocus Pocus (the best!), Casper and Beetlejuice. I feel like those are classics now. :) The Conjuring sounds way too scary for me..haha. I do like Scream and Mean Girls is just an awesome movie all-around. Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I loved Scream and Urban Legend when we were teens. I wouldn't be able to watch that kind of movie now! I liked Hocus Pocus and Casper too. I was thinking of watching Hocus Pocus again just the other day so I might do that on Halloween. It's been years! Nice list!
ReplyDeleteI love Halloweentown and Hocus Pocus.
ReplyDeleteI loved the first 2 Scream Movies, and The Conjuring is one of the scariest movies ever to me! Great list. I went with the character costume theme this week.

YAY for bunch of amazing movies :D Sigh. The Conjuring. I need to re-watch it soonish, I think. A bunch of these I have yet to watch, though ;p but you make me want to watch them all. Scary movies are awesome :D Well, they used to be awesome, these days I try not to watch too many of them :p <3
ReplyDeleteFor the past two years I have not been able to watch the Halloweentown movies because its become a tradition. Near Halloween itself, I watch Hocus Pocus.
ReplyDeleteI love Practical Magic, Casper, Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown (I pretend that the third movie doesn't exist lol). I haven't seen any of the others...and I'm too much of a wimp to see The Conjuring--just the previews of that clapping game had me on edge!!!
ReplyDeleteSome of my favourite movies right here!! I hope to indulge in some of these this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI've never watched Mean Girls but I've heard so much about it I think it has to go on my list. I love Hocus Pocus (I watch it every year) and my husband is a huge fan of Practical Magic.
