Book to Film: TRAILERS!

The "Okay, Okay" part pretty much killed me.

Very excited! This was a great novel, so hopefully it translates well to film.

Yet again, this trailer made my eyes all watery...I have a feeling I'll burst into tears at the theater (for IIS and TFIOS), which is something I normally never do. Stupid emotions.

I'm trying to be optimistic, but I'm concerned about the aging of the characters and some aspects of the first trailer. Fortunately, from viewing the second video, it looks like the black-and-white aspect will be present (which is key to the story).

What are your thoughts? Which adaptations are you most excited for?

    2. I've been telling my friends about the movie. I think I want to read the book first though I think I can guess her decision since there is a second book :)

  3. I can't wait for TFiOS! I'm sure it will be brilliant and do the book justice. The trailer for If I Stay makes me weepy. I think it looks amazing. I also loved The Maze Runner and the trailer looks pretty good as well. Fingers crossed that all the movies will be great and not pull a Vampire Academy or Mortal Instruments, which I found a bit disappointing.

    1. TFiOS definitely looks like it's staying true to the story, so that gives me high hopes!

Oh, the If I Stay trailer...I hope I don't have to watch that trailer in public, because I'm pretty sure I'll get all teary-eyed and everyone will be like "what is wrong with you?!" ;)

I still need to check out VA and MI. I skipped both since I heard they weren't anywhere near as good as the books. Let's hope Hollywood finally gets YA lit right!

  5. Ahhhh! So many awesome movies to look forward too =D I'd have to say I'm most excited for If I Stay first and then Fault In Our Stars. I haven't read Maze Runner or The Giver but I'm definitely planning to see them both anyways.
