Original on the left, redesign on the right!
The new cover is good, but I like the symbolism of the first one more.
I like the change - very bright and intriguing.
Look at those colors! This is a nice change, too.
I like the first one more, but they both work.
The new cover is much better.
I don't even know what's happening here, but it's not good.
I love the original more - so striking!
Neither one appeals to me.
The second cover is much better! I'd pick it up if I saw it at the bookstore.
I'm loving the new cover.
I'm not really a fan of either one.
I think both are great!
I like both - the font for the new cover is fantastic!
What are you thoughts?
Love it. With most of these the new is best. Not sure about Burning Blue tough.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised by how many great redesigns there are! Usually I hate redesigns, but quite a few are excellent improvements :)
DeleteI am so bummed about Out of the Easy, because I think the original cover is incredible. I love the symbolism, too. I am not a big fan of the new Dare You To or Tragedy Paper. The original covers were much better. The new Earthbound cover is an improvement. What the heck is going on with The Peculiars cover? Strange!
ReplyDeleteThe original cover was perfect for OotE, and the originals for DYT and TTP were much better too. I'm surprised they're changing The Tragedy Paper from such a wonderful image to something so typical.
DeleteI still cannot quite wrap my mind around the cover for The Peculiars. It's definitely bizarre!
Kind of disappointed about Out of the Easy's redesign-I thought the first one's was beautiful with its greens and bird cage.
ReplyDeleteDare You To isn't that big of a difference to me-I'd have to look at it in person to decide how much the change impacts me.
I also definitely prefer The Diviners' original cover though I very much still need to read it to determine if either is relevant to the story.
The original Out of the Easy cover is gorgeous! The new one isn't terrible, but the first is so much better.
DeleteThe new Diviners cover works well with the story, but I'm still not really into it.
I think both covers for The Peculiars are horrible! I prefer the first cover for Out of the Easy too. I wonder if more teens would pick up the new cover since it looks more like contemporary YA. I definitely prefer the new cover of Earthbound. I'm not so sure about Dare You To. Looking at the covers again I think the models look way older than teenagers...
ReplyDeleteHa! The Peculiar covers really are terrible.
DeleteHmm, now that you mention it, the DYT cover models do look older. Seems like it would be an adult novel.
Hum...I'm liking the ones with no people on them the best, I think. Really like Jepp, Who Defied the Stars and Never Fall Down.
ReplyDeleteSometimes, no-people covers work really well. Agreed on JWDtS and NFD!
DeleteOh, I'm sad they changed the cover for The Diviners! I thought the original was so much stronger. I am, however, a huge fan of the cover change for Twisted!
ReplyDeleteThe new cover for Twisted is fantastic!
DeleteI liked the original cover for Charm & Strange more. Other than that, most of these are pretty good redesigns.
ReplyDeleteIt had a nice original cover. I'm surprised they changed it!
DeleteGah! Why did they change the cover for Out of the Easy? The first cover is really pretty. I like Earthbound's new cover, the first one is kind of twisted :P
ReplyDeleteAsma @ IceyBooks
I know, right?! The first one was fantastic.
DeleteLots of awesome and awful covers! Thank you for sharing. <3 Ah, I loved the old one of Out of the Easy. Loving the new one of Earthbound :D Still unsure how I feel about The Diviners :\ Upset, since the first one was so pretty. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteCover changes are always interesting - in good ways and in bad ways ;)
DeleteThe first thing I need to say is: HAHAHA, what did they do to The Peculiars? :| They went from awesome to amateur? I'm not a fan of the chance from The Diviners.. The new Earthbound is great though, since I'm not such a fan of face-covers. Jep has two gorgeous editions to choose from and I like the change for Never fall down.
